Venus Williams Out of Brussels, Into Eastbourne
05.13.2011 EASTBOURNE-- Venus Williams has withdrawn from next week's WTA Tour tournament in Brussels, Belgium. Coming off a long injury layoff, Venus faced a lack of preparation for the event. In better news, Venus has entered a Wimbledon warm up grass court tournament to be played the week of June 11-18 at Eastbourne, England. Venus has not played Eastbourne since 1998.

Venus Williams Enters Brussels Tournament
04.23.2011 BRUSSELS-- Venus Williams, who has competed in only six WTA tournaments in the last 52 weeks, has entered the Brussels Ladies Open which is to be played the week of May 14th in Brussels, Belgium. This would be Venus' first tournament since being sidelined with a hip injury since January.

Venus Williams To Travel To Germany But Not Play
04.16.2011 STUTTGART-- Venus Williams is set to appear in Stuttgart, Germany with the USA's Fed Cup team versus Germany Saturday and Sunday. But Venus is not scheduled to play any matches. Venus' willingness to travel to Germany with the team qualifies her to play the 2012 Summer Olympics for the USA. Venus has been sidelined since January with a hip injury.

Venus Williams Withdraws From Miami Tournament
20.03.2011 MIAMI-- Venus Williams has withdrawn from next week's Sony Ericsson Open, citing an abdominal injury which has kept her off the WTA Tour since January. Venus has won the Miami tournament three times, but has not competed on the WTA Tour since January at the Australian Open. Venus, who lives in Palm Beach Gardens about 90 minutes north of Miami, has not indicated when she would return to the WTA Tour other than to say she would not be back before she was healthy.
